BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHAT better way is there to show dad how much you love him than by purchasing his favourite tool while taking him to have the appropriate health checks to ensure a full and healthy life?

And S. L. Horsford’s and Company Ltd’s 2012 Father’s Day promotion provides the perfect platform for persons to express their appreciation to the father figures in their lives in this manner.

Starting today (June 15), customers of the S. L. Horsford’s Building Center on St. Kitts and the Nevis Center on Nevis could capitalise on its “up to 30 percent store-wide” offer – to run until tomorrow (June 16) in commemoration of Father’s Day.

As an added incentive, customers spending $100 or more will receive a chance to win a Dewalt Compound Power Saw valued at more than $1 200. The names of eligible customers will be collected throughout the two-day period and on Saturday afternoon – as explained by S. L. Horsford’s Marketing Executive, Wallis Wilkin – a winner would be selected.

The Horsford’s Building Center’s Father’s Day promotion also includes a Men’s Wellness Fair which would be held tomorrow.

Wilkin indicated to this publication that booths would be erected on the compounds of both the Building Center and the Nevis Center where free blood pressure and blood glucose level checks would be performed, as well as counselling on prostate and heart health.

This year’s Wellness Fair will be facilitated by the Windsor University School of Medicine.

“We had it last year during the sale and the response was overwhelming. So we decided to make it an annual feature,” Wilkin explained.

He expressed that Building Center’s Father’s Day promotion is the perfect avenue through which appreciation for fathers could be shown.

“Just as we recognise and laud mothers, we should pay the same respects to the fathers. Just as we shower mothers with lovely gifts, we should do likewise for the fathers, and the Building Centre’s Father’s Day Weekend Sale provides the ideal opportunity and avenue to show appreciation to fathers…even if it is just to get them to check their health.”

Today, the doors of the Building Center opened at 7:00 a.m. and are scheduled to close at 5:00 p.m.; and tomorrow they will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m.

    The Nevis Center’s opening hours for today and tomorrow are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. respectively.
