BASSETERRE St. Kitts, June 15th, 2012 -- "Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances."-Maya Angelou The Fireflies Dance School, under the direction of Ms. Heidi Slack, is pleased to announce that plans are underway for their 2012 end of year dance recital, ‘Dancing through Life’.
This year’s recital is currently scheduled for July 7th 2012 and the 65 young, talented members are prepared to demonstrate the power and beauty of dance as they amaze the general public with a fantastic display of Ballet, Jazz, Afro-Caribbean, Musical Theater and Acro-Dance pieces.
The Director has assured that ‘Dancing through Life’ promises to be an evening of exceptional entertainment aimed at inspiring and challenging all art lovers to celebrate the never-ending choreography of life. Also to be featured at this event is the ever-popular “Daddy Daughter Dance” and a brand new addition; the “Mommy and Me” Dance.
The Fireflies Dance School caters to dancers between the ages of 3 and 9 (pre-school through Grade 4). The school provides students with the highest quality of dance instruction, helping them to gain a love and appreciation for dance while improving their self esteem and confidence, imagination and creativity and enhancing their sense of accomplishment.
