Logon to vibesantigua.com... Antigua News

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, June 19th, 2012 – The Management of LIAT (1974) Limited takes this opportunity to respond to a report appearing today (June 19) in the Antigua Observer Newspaper and on Observer Radio, suggesting a cause for the recent fire at the LIAT hangar.

Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Brian Challenger noted that investigations by local law enforcement officials were continuing and that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. In that context it was extremely unfortunate for speculative reasons to be highlighted in this manner.

He noted that LIAT remained available to the media through its Corporate Communications Department adding that the Company would continue to provide information to the public once it becomes available.

LIAT continues to provide regular services throughout its network and wishes to express appreciation to it employees, customers, suppliers, its partners and the general public for their continued support during this period.
