Harpers customers win flat screen TV, Wii Console in 5th Anniversary Promo

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JULIET BATTICE of Douglas Estate, Neil Simon of Newton Ground and Deke Ebergard of Camps are happy customers of Harpers Office Supplies having won very attractive prizes at the end of the business’ Fifth Anniversary Celebration Promotion.

In celebration of its fifth birthday, Harpers organised a six-week promotion where for every $100 customers spent in Harpers or its technology department, Dot Com, they were entitled for entry in a draw to win either a 42-inch flat screen television, a Nintendo Wii Console with three games or a digital photo frame which holds up to 6 400 images.

Last week – in the presence of SKNVibes, staffers and customers – three names were pulled from the box of entrants and Battice was named winner of the flat screen television, Simon was named winner of the Wii Console and Ebergard won himself the digital photo frame.

Also as part of the draw, the names of five consolation prize winners were pulled from the box and these persons were each awarded a certificate for a free diagnostic and cleaning of their desktop and laptop computers.

Battice – who had several entries into the draw – was one of the consolation prize winners along with Alberic Rohan, Anessa Hazelle, Deano Watson and Melissa Bartlett.

Harpers’ General Manager Giselle Matthews thanked the customers for their patronage and congratulated them on their winnings.

In an interview with SKNVibes, she explained that this was not just a means of celebrating the business’ anniversary, but also an avenue through which it endeavoured to give back to its customers.

Matthews made mention of and gave special commendation to one of her employees, George Bolus, whom she said has worked with the company since its doors were opened.

“I’d like to recognise George Bolus, my first employee. He started at Harpers even before we physically opened our doors to the public. He started with me two weeks before we opened our doors on March 1 (2007) and he has been with us ever since. He is young, talented, has great creativity and is very loyal. It is a pleasure working with a young person like that. So I just want to recognise him and thank him for his dedicated service.”

Customers of Harpers Office Supplies – Mattnews informed – could look forward to other promotions as the celebration of its Fifth Anniversary continues.
