Launching Of National Census Day 2012 Activities

    KINGSTOWN St. Vincent, June 13th, 2012   --  The Census Office within this country’s Statistical Department will launch activities to mark National Census Day 2012 on June 12th.

     


    The Census Day launch will take the form of a series of promotional whistle stops in a number of communities across the country. Census office staff will also engage the public at various locations in Kingstown.
    Media and Communications Coordinator for Census 2012, Kendol Morgan says field work will commence on Wednesday June 13th.

    Mr. Morgan says activities to mark the start of Census Day 2012 will begin with media briefings on what the plans are for the exercise which will run for about six to eight weeks.

    He says the Census Exercise is very important to countries including St. Vincent and the Grenadines to help in the development of policy directions for countries.
