Family appeals for assistance in locating him
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE family of Kevaughn Pemberton of Wingfield Road, Old Road has asked for the public to assist them in their quest to locate their relative who has been missing since late Monday evening (June 18).
Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, SGT Stephen Hector, confirmed to SKNVibes that a report was made last evening (June 20) at the Old Road Police Station, indicating that Pemberton has been missing.
Information gathered by this media house from alternative sources indicates that the 23-year-old has been missing since sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
One of his relatives – who spoke with this publication – explained that Pemberton left his sister’s home at Hermitage Road, Old Road at about 9:30 that evening, did not indicate where he was going and has yet to be seen again.
The relative further indicated that attempts have been made to contact him via his cellular telephones but both appear to be turned off.
Also confirmed by the family member was that a report was filed at the Old Road Police Station sometime last evening.
The missing man – according to the relative – was last seen wearing a black shirt and a pair of camouflage three-quarter-length pants.
Other information which has reached this publication suggests that the young man is dark in complexion, thick in body, has a scar on the portion of his left hand which is just above his elbow and had his hair braided in “single thick plaits”.
Asked if Pemberton is one who has a habit of vanishing for any length of time, his relative indicated that he is not and has actually made a practice of checking in with his family regularly and often.
The family is asking members of the public to assist in locating their brother and should they have any information about his whereabouts, persons are asked to make contact with officers at the Old Road Police Station at 465-6250 or any police station on St. Kitts.
