Accompanied by Terrell Lake, Craig McDowell and Dean Revan, Calvin unveiled their season long success plan which saw them winning both the Finals of the Men’s Single Event and the Team Event. The runners-up NAGICO table tennis team comprised of Amit Mohabir, Steve Saunders, Austin Julius, Brian Gillis and Kevon Jandoo.

BOA’s offensive playing style was the highlight of the night over NAGICO’s risk-adverse balanced style and timely attack on the return balls. In the opening game, NAGICO’s Brian Gillis took the advantage in when he demolished Craig of BOA 2-0 (11-5, 11-2). However, Calvin came in the second game to balance the series 1-1 when he defeated Kevon 2-0 (11-6, 11-1). Tables turned once more when NAGICO’s Brian and Kevon took the lead in the Doubles match defeating BOA 2-1 (11-4, 9-11, 11-7) in the five game series of the Finals. Once more the responsibility fell to Calvin Lake to anchor, defeating Brian 2-0 (11-9, 11-2) to swing the series into a 2-2 result. Craig with renewed confidence closed the competition 2-0 (11-3, 11, 7) against Kevon.

In the third place finals, Solid Waste defeated ECCB table tennis club 3-0 in the 5 game series to secure the third position. Solid Waste team led by Sidney Mathews, included players such as Alfonso Bridgewater, Wilmon McCall, Kevin Jandoo and Aaron Hope.

Solid Waste played BOA in the Semifinals, falling short of the finals by a marginal defeat of 2-3. Similar to the finals of the Singles Event,  Sidney Matthews (Solid Waste) and Calvin Lake (BOA) battled in the fifth and decisive game of the Semis – the match adhere to the adage that form is temporary class is permanent with Sidney exacting a revenge on Calvin in an ultra-offensive game. Calvin Lake survived the onslaught by adopting a more balanced style forcing Sidney into errors and attacking the high balls.
