ST. GEORGE'S Grenada, June 22nd, 2012  --  The Seales School of Music & Performing Arts Inc was happy to welcome Celebrity Jamaican Artist Luciano. Luciano whose real name is Jepther Mc Clymont is popularly known for his spiritual blend of rock and R&B– tinged reggae (reggae music).

The workshop commenced with welcoming speech by Mr. Piankhi Toussaint following with brief remarks by Mr.Roger Williams– a writer, producer, musician and arranger who is currently studying at the Edna Manley College of Performing Arts, Jamaica and brief remarks by one of Grenada’s premiere deejays Blondel Andrews known as DJ Ice Cool.

Mr. Mike Weeks, representative for Judy Boucher. an avid musician, who was at the workshop in 2011. Main speaker: Luciano started with a prayer before heading into a very insightful presentation about the path to making music a career.

In his presentation he said how he remembered as a little boy growing up he had loved music and he and his father made a guitar together and when it was finished his father didn’t want him to play the guitar because he was always bursting the strings as he didn’t know much as yet but he had the passion and love of always wanting to play the guitar so he read books and watched his father play day after day until he knew how to do so himself and evidently  became a master at playing the guitar.

One of the many lessons he taught were to never sit idly by, always pick up an instrument and learn to play it and even if you’re learning to play an instrument take it seriously and not as a joke because you never know where that music can take you in life. He then performed one of his many famous renditions and the audience all sang and hummed along with him.

To the majority it was a dream come true having a close encounter and interaction with him and discussing music. All in all it ended with a presentation of a beautiful Grenada Cake and closing remarks and vote of thanks done by  Ms. Donnalyn Watson Henry.
