Pickup smashes into house

~~Adz:Right~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are also investigating a traffic accident that occurred along the Island’s Main Road in the vicinity of Lodge Ghaut at about 9:45 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. 

The accident involved motor Pickup PA3559 driven by Basil Huggins of Lodge Village. 

According to a Police press release, the vehicle was travelling from Lodge Village to Basseterre when it “ran off the road and collided to a house in Lodge Ghaut”.

Two individuals, who were in the vehicle (at the back) when the incident occurred, were treated at the Joseph N. France General Hospital for their injuries.

SKNVibes also understands that the driver of the vehicle was also taken to the said medical institution and treated for his injuries and, while he and one of the passengers were discharged, the other was admitted for further medical attention.

The Police have reported that the vehicle was extensively damaged and they are making investigations into the matter.
