Premier on Leave, Deputy Premier Performs Duties

~~Adz:Left~~ROADTOWN; Tortola: – Premier Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal is currently out of the Territory on personal leave.

In his absence from July 27 to August 3, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Social Development Honourable Dancia Penn, OBE, QC will perform the duties of the Premier.

This is in accordance with Section 55 of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order 2007 which states that in the absence of the Premier for a period exceeding 48 hours, “the Governor shall authorise the Deputy Premier to perform the functions of the office of Premier.”
