BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER the music and dancing of the Sweet 16th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, the official cool down event will be at Carambola Beach Club for their White Sands event on Sunday, July 1.
The event will also feature a steamy hot swimsuit segment featuring six models from two local agencies in St. Kitts.
The contestants, Chantelle Rochester, Mika Greaux, Deslyn Herbert, Larissa Gumbs, Amelia Browne and Takashee Franklin will showcase their modeling skills, charm and beauty in dazzling white swimsuits.
‘White Sands’ will begin at 1:00 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to wear all white. As they mingle they will be entertained by top local band Green House along with the best selection of music by DJ Wett Dutt.
Carambola Beach Club is located at South Friars Beach and the White Sands event will also offer lots of fun in the sun including various water sports and other activities with attractive prizes to be won.
Former National Carnival Queen, Iantavian Queeley, who will be hosting the swimsuit competition, said that some of the factors that would help determine the winner were crowd appreciation, personality, how well the swimsuit fits, and style.
“I want to invite the general public to come out after the hype of the music festival for our first ever White Sands Music Festival Cool Down. There will be a bottle of champagne for the best dressed guest in white; it’s an event for the whole family. Just come and have a great time,” she said.
Queeley also said that the first, second and third place winners will also win attractive prizes from sponsors of the event.
One of the organizers of the event said that they know people would still be on island after the festival, and felt it would be great to offer something at their destination which had a more relaxing atmosphere but would still enable persons to have a good time.
