ST. JOHN'S Antigua, June 29th, 2012 -- Prime Minister the Hon. W. Baldwin Spencer on Thursday 28th June, 2012 held a brief meeting with Member of Parliament for St. John’s City West the Hon. Gaston Browne to discuss concerns expressed by the Member of Parliament in a letter pertaining to the new Wadadli Power Plant at Crabbes.
During the meeting, MP Gaston Browne reiterated his concerns over the negative press the plant has been receiving from certain sections within and outside of the opposition Antigua Labour Party.
MP Browne repeated his call for a Commission of Inquiry or Investigation into the matter of the status of the New Wadadli Power Plant.
Prime Minister Spencer noted that the meeting was very informative and gave his assurance to MP Browne that he will take his concerns to the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda.
He outlined to MP Browne that he is fully aware of the campaign mounted by interest groups within and outside the Antigua Labour Party who are deliberately spreading misinformation to advance their own agenda.
Prime Minister Spencer noted that following discussions with the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda he will officially respond to the letter of MP Gaston Browne.
