BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE first ever Carambola White Sands Swimsuit Competition will be held at Carambola Beach Club on South Friars Beach, as part of the Music Festival Cool Down Event, this Sunday July 1 at 1:00 p.m.
A total of six contestants are competing and today we feature the fifth contestant, 27-year-old Amelia Browne of Movado Model Agency.
She resides at Ponds Extension and enjoys dancing and hanging out with friends.
What motivated you to enter the competition?
Just to have the experience. I have experience as a model but I have never been in a competition before. I just want to have the experience of a competition.
Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
I’m more of an adventurous person, so I don’t like to plan ahead.
Who do you admire and why?
My father - Because when I was very young my mother left and my father did not let up as a parent. So my father is the person I look up to.
Which Music Festival artiste are you most looking forward to?
Jr. Gong- I like Reggae.
Where is your favorite spot in St. Kitts?
Home in my bed
What are you up to currently?
Apart from the competition, I’m just relaxing, enjoying my vacation.
Which issue affecting your country are you passionate about?
Unfortunately, maybe it’s a bad thing but I don’t follow those things. Yes bad things do affect the country politics wise, I’m not the kind of person to stress over something that I can’t do anything about.
Tell us one thing about you people don’t know?
I’m weird - I don’t do normal things people would do. I love black, I like leggings, I don’t like skirts; I don’t like dresses. My only fear is lizards. No one - please don’t bring any around me.
