BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are making investigations into a traffic accident that left a five-year-old nursing wounds and warded at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
The child – who has been identified as Jayden James of Saddlers – was hospitalised on Friday (June 29) following the incident which reportedly took place at approximately 2:25 p.m. on the island main road in Saddlers.
Information which was received by this media house from the Traffic Department suggests that while in the vicinity of Saddlers Primary School, James made an attempt to cross the road from the mountain side to the seaside. And in the process, a collision occurred between him and motor omnibus HA271 which was driven by Tyrone ‘Giddy’ Nisbett of Christchurch.
Details of the accident remain unclear; however, this publication understands that investigations are being conducted.
Jayden – according to reports – sustained cuts and bruises about his body as a result of the accident while the vehicle sustained some damage. However, the extend of both Jayden’s injuries and damage to the bus are unknown by this publication.
Reports also suggest that Nisbett escaped the incident unharmed.
