ST.GEORGE, Grenada, July 11th, 2012  -- “An inspirational moment”.  That’s how Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas described the “massive” show of support for his leadership and his four year old administration at a rally on Sunday in the west coast town of Gouyave.

The Prime Minister on Wednesday described the event as “a victory” and expressed his appreciation to the people of Grenada for standing with his administration, which has fulfilled more than 70% of its Manifesto commitments, despite a difficult global economic environment.

“I take this opportunity to say thanks to all those who attended our government’s fourth anniversary rally in Gouyave and I also thank those foot-soldiers of my party who have worked very hard to ensure our success. I was elated by the attendance of so many Grenadians at this event,” the Prime Minister said Wednesday.

The Grenadian leader said the energy displayed by the people was infectious as many of his Ministers who addressed the rally said they were “encouraged” to continue the task of “bringing benefits to all the people of Grenada.”

“I believe that (the public support) is going to motivate and inspire some of our ministers and some of our leaders of the NDC to go out and continue that struggle to maintain the foundations we have laid in Grenada. We have really made a difference in Grenada,” Prime Minister Thomas added.

Speaking to an audience of just over 4,000, according to police estimates, the Grenadian leader said “most of what we promised, we delivered!”
