Press Release

BRADES, Montserrat (July 23rd, 2012) – LIME Montserrat has provided one more way for nationals in the Diaspora to stay connected with home and make a contribution to the island’s development.

The sole telecommunications service provider on island has sponsored two international lines at the national radio station ZJB Radio Montserrat. This will allow nationals in the United States and the United Kingdom to call home as if they were making a local call.

“Our folks in the UK and USA have always complained that it costs money to call in to the on air programs especially when they want to participate in discussions. These numbers will allow customers to call in directly to the Radio Montserrat on air numbers,” explained manager of LIME Montserrat Joseph Cassell.

The USA number is 1 718 355 8479 and the UK number is 0208 099 5249 set up using LIME’s Netspeak service.

Cassell also said with the 50th anniversary of Montserrat’s Festival approaching, the full participation from the Diaspora is needed.  “We urge customers to advise us by emailing joseph.cassell@lime.com if they experience any problems with calling the assigned numbers,” the manager said.

Herman Sargeant, Broadcast Manager at ZJB Radio welcomed the initiative and thanked LIME Montserrat for their continued support. “We consider LIME one of our strategic partners as their help enables us to keep our nationals abroad connected to Montserrat through the station. These local numbers will help to increase the participation from our listeners overseas.”
