St. Kitts Nevis Cadet CORPS Summer Training Camp 2012

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 30th, 2012  --  The St Kitts Nevis Cadet Corps is holding its annual summer training camp 2012 at Saddlers Secondary School. The camp will run from 21 July to 4 August 2012. There are sixty (60) cadets and recruits from various secondary schools across the Federation working assiduously to realize their goals on the camp. 

     

    A pool of qualified adult instructors from the St Kitts Nevis Defence Force is with the cadets to ensure that training standards are maintained and that the goals of the summer training camp are met. 

    On Sunday 22nd July, the cadets and the adult instructors attended church service at the Saddlers Pentecostal Church of God, to commemorate the commencement of this summer training camp. 

    The summer training is normally conducted during this period of the year when schools are closed; allowing the cadets to engaged in a series of training events and exercises, to culminate in their qualification for different proficiency star level within the cadet corps.

    To showcase their accomplishments to the general public, there will be an open day and passing out ceremony on Friday 3 August 2012 starting from 10am through 5pm at the Saddlers Secondary School ground where the camp is being held. 

    The cadets will graduate to different levels of their training and also entertain parents, guest and visitors with displays of some of the skills and knowledge they have acquired during the training period.

    All encouraged to visit the Camp during the open day to support and recognize the efforts of the cadets who have worked very hard during the training period.
