~~Adz:Right~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A young man from Cayon Village was rushed to the Joseph N. France (JNF) General Hospital after sustaining a laceration to his left hand.

Initial reports reaching SKNVibes state a young man was involved in an altercation that took place at Hermitage, Cayon which left him with a severed hand.

Investigations into the matter revealed that the incident occurred at about 8:45 on Monday evening and, while his arm was not severed, David Morton, 21, of Hermitage Village suffered an injury to the palm of his left hand.

According to information gleaned from the Police Press and Public Relations Office, officers at the Cayon Police Station responded to a report of a fight in that Village and, on arrival, met Morton with a “large wound” in the palm of his hand.

The police informed that their investigations revealed Morton was attacked by four young men and was chopped with a machete. He was transported to the JNF General Hospital, where he was treated and detained.

SKNVibes was unofficially told that while Morton suffered some nerve damage as a result of the wound, his appendages are all intact.

The police also informed that four juveniles were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, but three of them have since been questioned and released.
