BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ACCORDING to the Pathologist's report presented to the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, June ‘Paco’ Nolan of Sandy Point died of “Traumatic Shock secondary to traffic accident”.

A press release issued by the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force stated: “On Tuesday 31st July 2012, an autopsy was performed on the body of the late June Noland 50 years old of Sandy Point, by resident pathologist Dr. Dora Marina Magdoriaja, who concluded that death was caused by traumatic shock secondary to traffic accident.”

Nolan was killed at about 8:30 p.m. on the night of July 28 while on the Island’s Main Road in Cayon, following a two-vehicle accident that occurred in that area.

Head of Traffic Department Inspector Cromwell Henry had stated that the incident occurred when motorcar PA 5457, driven by Vance Archibald of Upper Cayon, and motor jeep PA 6031, driven by Warren Bradshaw Jr., collided on the Island’s Main Road.

“Investigations revealed that PA 5457 was travelling from Molyneaux to Cayon when it collided with the pedestrian. Shortly after, PA 6031 which was travelling in the same direction ran over the pedestrian. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer Dr. Garfield Alexander,” Henry said.

He also said that both drivers were taken into police custody and that Archibald was subsequently charged with driving without insurance and driving an unlicenced vehicle.

Archibald has since been bailed and Bradshaw released pending further investigation.

Nolan's death has taken the number of road fatalities recorded for the year to three.
