Sweet Reward of Hard Work

Rivi Chryselle Cha-des Warner
Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 3rd 2012 - Good parents and guardians will often tell children that their future is not circumscribed by their background or even the mistakes that they inevitably make. They will extol them to dream big, work hard and never give up promising that if this advice is followed they too will accomplish great things.

Better parents exemplify this precept to their children through their own hard work and determination for themselves and their children to succeed. One such parent is Deslyn Richards who, on Friday 27th July, 2012, saw the fruition of her dedicated efforts when her daughter Rivi Chryselle Cha-des Warner was called to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

The proud mother and daughter were joined by many other family members and friends who joined in the celebration of this sweet reward of hard work. Included in that group was her equally proud father Dr. Charles Warner.

Ms. Warner was sponsored by eminent lawyer Ms. Constance Mitcham who outlined her sterling achievements along the way and highlighted the many qualities like dedication, attention to detail and devotion to her Church, that will make her a fine lawyer.

Ms. Mitcham was seconded by Mr. Anthony Johnson who described for the court the close knit family of Ms. Warner but especially the very hard work and sacrifice of her mother in getting the young lawyer to this auspicious milestone.

Among the proud Sandy Pointers who filled the courtroom to celebrate with this accomplished daughter included several teachers of her alma mater, the former Sandy Point High School. It was a very gratifying experience indeed for them to see the vindication of their efforts. Ms. Warner is the first lawyer in recent memory to come from this proud institution.

Ms. Warner, in her responding speech, thanked her parents for their unstinting support, her extended family, mentors and Almighty God for bringing her to thus far and pledged to use her skill and talents in service to community and country

The accomplished graduate of the University of London, City Law School in London and the Norman Manley Law School, where she also completed a course in mediation, begins her career at the chambers of Mitcham and Benjamin and can look forward to a long and sterling tenure in the noble profession.

A hearty congratulations to Ms. Warner.
