                           MEC and VIFFC Thank Everyone for a Successful August Festival

    ~~Adz:Left~~ Roadtown, Tortola- The Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) and the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIFFC) are extending heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this year’s Festival celebration.

     

    Minister of Education and Culture, Honourable Andrew Fahie told the Department of Information and Public Relations the commitment, service and dedication that were portrayed by all the persons involved in this year’s Festival celebration need to be commended.  “Through their hard wok and participation they have truly displayed national pride and our Festival celebration this year was a vivid testimony of what teamwork and commitment can do,” the Minister said.

     

    The Minister thanks all the members of the VIFFC, members of the Management Board and Procurement Unit, sponsors and the public for making Festival 2008 a success.

     

    Honourable Fahie will host a cocktail party for committee chairpersons, members and representatives from each sponsor agency in appreciation of the hard work and community service. The event will be at the Lambert Beach Resort on Wednesday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. 

     

    Festival was celebrated under the theme “Anticipating a bright future, paying tribute to our past while celebrating our culture” and the slogan, “It’s gonna be great, lets celebrate and educate - Festival 2008”.
