BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE George Moody Stuart School a.k.a. Factory School will be hosting a Kids Summer Fun Day, tomorrow August 11, at 17 Degrees located on Victoria Road.

The fun begins at 12:00 p.m.

According to Kirah Griffin, a member of the school Board, the fun day is being held to raise funds to help provide much needed supplies for the school.

She said that there are supplies needed for the computer room, library, and new equipment for teachers and also  for refurbishing the school.

The Fun day is free upon entry but persons will have to pay for the various rides which will include bouncing castles.

There will also be a photo booth and face painting.

Griffin said there are also plans to host other fundraisers to keep in step with raising the standard of the school.

One of those fundraising  initiatives will be a Christmas programme, Griffin informed.

The school is also celebrating its 50 year anniversary which began last year, under the theme, “Pursuing Excellence through Quality Education”.

Elizabeth Condell, Principal of the school in a previous interview said the school was named after the former St. Kitts Sugar Factory’s General Manager George Stuart and was co-founded by George T. Warren.

She said that parents can always expect quality education, caring teachers and smaller classes at the school.

    “I am, I can, I ought, I will” is the school’s motto.
