BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have arrested and charged two more young men with the Friday, July 20, 2012 robbery at the Bird Rock Branch of Scotia Bank.

According to Police Press and Public Information officer Inspector Lyndon David, the two men, Ivan Liddie of Bird Rock and Keithroy Duncan of Shadwell Housing Project, were each charged with three counts of robbery.

He noted that Liddie was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and Duncan is still in police custody.

The first man to have been arrested in connection with the robbery is Glenroy Crossman. He was arrested on Friday (July 27) and also charged with three counts of robbery.

Crossman has since appeared before a city magistrate and he too was remanded to prison.

Reports reaching this publication on the day of the robbery state that at about 11:35 a.m., two masked, armed men had carried out a daring robbery at the Bird Rock Branch of Scotia Bank.

SKNVibes had arrived at the scene some 15 minutes after and had observed the presence of a few members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and also technicians from a unit of the Emergency medical Services rendering service to a traumatised female who was said to be a customer.

Also present was Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime, Ian Queeley, who told this publication that they were at the time unable to state the amount of money that was stolen from the bank.

The two bandits had made good their escape by running along a track in the vicinity of Builders Paradise in the C.A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site, but the investigators along with Prego, the newest K-9 member to join the Force, and another dog were hot on their trail.
