BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POPULAR music video producer, MKJ who was formerly affiliated with local artiste C-Money’s ‘Mo Money Entertainment Muzik Group’ said that he is now on a more positive path and living for God.
Many may remember him as the producer of several of C-Money’s music videos, including ‘My Wish’ and ‘SK Sweet’.
He has also produced music videos for his song ‘We Going Rise’ which was shot in St. Kitts and Miami with the help of Kelvin Christopher and another producer by the name of ‘Nygel’.
In an interview with SKNVibes, MKJ whose real name is Crispin Matthew said that he is still producing music videos but with a different vision.
“I still do music videos but my mind is focused on the positive music videos. Watching life and how it passes by… we are here only for one reason, to praise the Lord God through his son Jesus Christ for what has done for us,” he said.
Matthew grew up in St. Kitts and left in 2006 for Miami where he still resides. He has also journeyed home for visits since leaving.
He said that after attending church one day he decided to change his life.
“The Holy Spirit had delivered me from my sins, I had to confess every sin I had done because this world has nothing to offer. I want to live for God and die for him. I been searching for him a long time to show me signs that he is real and he showed me that day. It might have taken days or years but it’s not in your time it’s in his time,” he said.
Matthew said that he died and was born again and he is not the person he was before.
“I walk through faith by Jesus Christ; there is a love for God that is inside of you and he has been calling your name. Many are blinded by the world because it offers vanity but God offers you eternal life. Which one would you rather? Listen to his voice and surrender. There is a peace I come to know.”
Recently, he released a song called ‘The only One’ which he said is a testimony of what God has done for him.
He said the song was inspired from an experience he had one Sunday on his way to work where it appeared as though a thunder storm was coming. He said he decided to trust in God and prayed.
His mission now is to spread the word and his music wherever he goes.
“I have been reaching out to anyone that is in the Gospel music not for fame but to spread the word of God and let others know he is coming back again. I plan on doing two music videos soon, one for his song and another which features myself and an artiste named Anointed.”
“As I testify here, we have greater things to achieve than silver and gold or fame; eternal life is worth it. I only call on God and he answered my prayer because he knows my heart more than anyone else. People going to judge me and say they remember when I was small and did bad things but I’m not that person today.
“God has delivered me from all evil and I will testify about it. Jesus has covered me with his blood; you only have to give him all; surrender all your needs let him guide you; put down your idols.
Matthew said the next song he will be releasing is ‘He Deliver Me’.
