CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - A HURRICANE COVE’S US$3 000 donation to the Nevis HIV/AIDS Coordinating Unit has enabled the entity to erect a billboard at Pinneys Beach near the Nevis Craft House.

Nadine Caines, Prevention and Education Officer of the Nevis HIV?AIDS Coordinating Unit,  told reporters that in addition to the erection of a billboard, the donation would also finance the development of an interactive website to enable people to access information on HIV/AIDS.

Caines also said the website would increase confidentiality.

Kathryn Wyatt, who accompanied Caines to the location of the billboard, said the US$3 000 donation was made available by Althea and Bob Turner, proprietors of Hurricane Cove.

Caines commended the proprietors and said that was the type of support the Unit seeks from the business sector and noted that “seeing the business community involved in fight against HIV/AIDS is encouraging”.   ~~Adz:Right~~

Caines said the owners of Hurricane Cove had made similar donations to the Unit in the past.
