American Airlines will add two weekly nonstop flights from Miami to St. Kitts on Nov. 16.

The year-round flights will operate from Miami on Fridays and Sundays, supplementing the carrier's existing daily nonstop service from Miami. From St. Kitts, the new flights will operate on Saturdays and Mondays.

"These new flights will meet the growth in demand that we anticipate in 2013," said Ricky Skerritt, minister of tourism and international transport.

American also operates twice-weekly roundtrip service from New York to St. Kitts.
