CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - LOSTON MAC KETNEY NISBETT, the Chief Pharmacist at the Alexandra Hospital, Nevis, was honoured yesterday by the Hospital and the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists for his exemplary service.

Rohan Claxton, proprietor of the Medical Centre Pharmacy and member of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacies, presented Nisbett with a trophy on behalf of the association at a brief ceremony held at the Hospital’s conference room.

In his brief speech, Nisbett called on young people in Nevis to consider pharmacy as a profession. Nisbett pointed out that in the 34 years he has been a pharmacist, he knows of only one person who has chosen pharmacy as career. “I am calling on youth to choose pharmacy as a career,” he said.

Nisbett received his training as a pharmacist in USA and Barbados Community College.

During the brief ceremony, Claxton announced that the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists [CAP] elected a new executive at its 28th Convention held on August 16 in Trinidad and Tobago under the theme, “Preserving Pharmacy Practice for Life”. ~~Adz:Right~~
