Shop lifting charges against Kittitian women in the BVI withdrawn

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – NEWS reaching SKNVibes states that three Kittitian women who were charged with theft at a clothing store in Road Town, Tortola had the case withdrawn against them.

     

    According to the BVI News Online,  Kimisha Ward, Natasha Madison and Tishel Crossley, all natives of St. Kitts, were vacationing in the BVI and were arrested and charged with the offence of theft on August 16.

     

    The news item also stated that the women were placed on bail.

     

    However, according to a police source, the store owner decided not to continue with the matter.

     

    The police source said that the Road Town Police Station received the report at about 11:35 a.m. on August 16.

     

    “They were observed by the store owner on surveillance camera who was monitoring them. The store owner said they were acting suspicious. When the store owner approached them they left,” the police source said.

     

    The source further stated that after the report was made, the police soon apprehended two of them in Road Town while the other was apprehended at a residence.

     

    He said they appeared in the magistrate court on August 23, where the store owner decided to discontinue the matter.

     

    The women reportedly stole a red polo dress.
