BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THERE were no serious injuries in last night’s (September 3) collision that occurred on the bypass road at the entrance to Shadwell at about 7:40 p.m. according to police.
The collision involved pickup P1413 driven by Lewis Lescott of Saddlers and motorcar PA3108 driven by Christy Stanley of Frigate Bay.
Information reaching SKNVibes stated that motor pickup was traveling from Basseterre towards New Road, while the motorcar was traveling from New Road to Basseterre.
According to Sergeant Calvin Amory of the traffic Department, when both vehicles reached the vicinity of the entrance to Shadwell, they collided.
The motor pickup then ended up on the right hand side of the road and then in the bushes off the side of the road.
Both vehicles were badly damaged.
No serious injuries occurred to the drivers but Stanley was taken to the hospital where she was subsequently discharged.
