BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- THE 2012 pageant scene has not seen the last of recently crowned Miss Caribbean Culture, Trevicia ‘Barbie’ Adams as she is scheduled to enter another pageant later this year.
The Miss Caribbean Tourism St. Kitts is scheduled for October 27 at Carnival Village where a host of Caribbean countries will vie for the crown with Adams representing St. Kitts and Nevis.
She will compete against 12 other countries, Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Aruba, Curacao, Dominica, Jamaica, St. Croix, St. John, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the pageant’s website, invitations were extended to contestants between the ages of 18 to 26 to represent their countries as Ambassadors and contestants who had won a title or a runner up position prior to their last pageant or in 2012, were also eligible.
They will be making five appearances, Ambassadorial Wear & Introduction, Swim Suit which can be a one or two piece, performing talent, evening wear and onstage interview.
The committee is hoping that the pageant will be highly memorable and the most professional and organised pageant any island in the Caribbean has ever staged.
Following the crowning of Adams as Miss Caribbean Culture, she entered Miss Jamzone International held in Guyana where she placed second runner-up.
In December 2011, she placed first runner-up in the National Carnival Queen Pageant.
The beautiful, quiet-natured Bank Teller enjoys dancing and singing and is hoping to pursue a degree in marketing and to one day own a Marketing Consulting Firm.
In a previous interview, she told SKNVibes, “I have been in the pageant industry for a few years and my goal is to always advance and push myself beyond the expectations to be deemed successful in pageantry.”
