Police release findings on Pemberton’s death

~~Adz:Right~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Barbadian Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones completed an autopsy on the remains of the Federation’s 15 murder victim and the cause of death has been revealed.
Inspector Cromwell Henry, Head of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Office, told SKNVibes that Steven Pemberton’s post mortem was conducted yesterday and, according to Dr. Jones’ findings, the 30-year-old died as a result of gunshot injuries to the abdomen and lower limbs with haemorrhage and shock.
Pemberton was gunned down on the night of Saturday, August 23 at about 11:25 while he was walking through an alley in Ottley’s Village. He is said to have been attacked by a lone gunman who fired several at him
This media house was informed that Pemberton lost the fight for his life while being transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
On the following day police arrested Delvin ‘Jeremiah’ Benjamin who was assisting with investigations and later formally charged with Pemberton’s murder.
Pemberton’s death marks the 48th murder to have been committed in the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis between January 1, 2006 and present.
