Three injured in two-vehicle collision

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A two-vehicle collision at Canada Estate yesterday left three individuals with minor injuries and the vehicles with extensive damage.
Sirens were heard blaring through the island’s capital sometime after 5:00 p.m. as the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) rushed to Canada Estate to transport injured persons to the Joseph N France General Hospital.
According to a police press release, the accident occurred on the island’s main road “in the vicinity of CONTEC” where “motor car PA1282 driven by Clive Wilson of Cabbage Tree, Cayon and motor car P2694 driven by Eston Dore of Lower Cayon” collided.
It stated that PA1282 was travelling towards Basseterre when it collided head on with P2694, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The police reported that the front portions of both vehicles were extensively damaged while both drivers and a passenger from PA1282 were injured.
They were all taken to the hospital where they were reportedly treated and discharged.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
