Basseterre St. Kitts, September 10th, 2012 (SKNIS): Just recently a total of eight (8) Isocontainers chasis mounted, were obtained by the Joint Venture Company (JVC), which is a partnership between the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The equipment, which are assets of the JVC, were obtained at great cost to in an attempt to increase the quantities of bitumen transported between the two countries.
The increased supplies of bitumen will facilitate speedy and continuous implementation of the local Government’s road construction and maintenance programmes which are already in full gear.
The management of PDV St. Kitts-Nevis Ltd has continued to demonstrate a willingness to partner with the Federation and has committed to contributing to the road improvement project.
This initiative is purely designed to further improve the standard of living of the people of the Federation – which is a fundamental pillar of the PetroCaribe Agreement that was established in 2005.
