BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, 12th September 2012 -- In highlighting the Independence Celebration’s theme, “Cherishing Children, Strengthening Families, On Friday, September 14th, 2012, the Probation & Child Protection Services have partnered with IREP SKN to gather in downtown Basseterre to meet the public and address their concerns.
The Department is left with the profound task of keeping the nation’s children safe and protected. The Department is making itself available to interact and converse with the general public and solicit the public’s assistance in helping to make their community more child-friendly.
IREP SKN has recognized the importance of being a part of the solution in providing their support to help highlight the importance of community partnership to combat this dilemma with which our communities are bombarded.
The safety of our Nation’s children must be a priority of all communities; when we stand united we are able to build a stronger foundation for change, for our future.
Come out on Friday, September 14th, 2012, in the vicinity of Central Street and Fort Street, from 12 pm to 5 pm. IREP SKN, DJ Floyd and the entire staff of the Ministry encourage you to come out in the spirit of the Independence Celebration to promote the theme “Cherishing Children, Strengthening Families.” Let us keep our eyes on the child.
