BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POPULAR math teacher and law student Newrish Nital was arrested late last week and charged with a number of counts of fraud.

A police press release issued yesterday informs that the Greenlands resident was formally arrested and charged on Friday, August 29, 2008 with three counts of “obtaining credit by fraud” which occurred sometime between April 1 and 4, 2008.

According to SKNVibes’ understanding, it is alleged that during that period, Nital received three postal orders and had cashed them. It is also alleged that sometime after they were cashed, it was discovered that the orders were fraudulent.

The police press release states that Nital has received bail and is expected to make an appearance before the court shortly.

Meanwhile, a Taylors Housing Project juvenile was arrested and charged with “building breaking and larceny” which, according to police, was committed on August 26, 2008.  ~~Adz:Right~~
