BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – MINISTER OF EDUCATION Sam T. Condor has reported an increase in the number of CAPE programme enrollments in the Federation and said this is testament that more students are endeavouring to prepare themselves for the next level in their academic career.

Condor was at the time addressing the nation on the CAPE and CSEC 2008 results and noted that with regard to the Clarence Fitzroy Bryan College (CFBC) the number of students enrolled in the first and second year CAPE programmes not only “continues to increase” but is at the highest in the history of the institution.

“The number of students enrolled in first and second year CAPE programmes at CFBC continues to increase, as more students seek to prepare themselves for university study.  In June 2008, 313 students took CAPE, which is the highest number of candidates to date.”

The Education Minister said that an increase was also noted at the Charlestown Secondary School (CSS), which he pointed out shows that there is increased drive among young people with regard to furthering their education.   ~~Adz:Right~~

“I extend sincere congratulations to the successful students, their parents and the dedicated college lecturers and administration, all of whom contributed to the outstanding success of the students and overall high pass rate in the examinations.”
