Basseterre, St. Kitts -
Young and aspiring cricketers from across the Region received the opportunity to showcase their Cricketing skills at the recently held TDC sponsored Regional Invitational 10/10 Under 13 Cricket Tournament.
The two (2) day encounter saw eight (8) teams from across the Caribbean, namely Anguilla, Barbados, Bermuda, Dominica, Montserrat, Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, and hosts St. Kitts, take to the field in a thrilling series of matches that would have made any West Indian proud.
Vernon Springer, Event Coordinator, spoke of the importance of having corporate support for inter-island friendly rivalry, which has become a launching pad for the West Indies Cricket Board Under 15 Championships.
“We are very pleased to have TDC partnering with the Ministry of Sports to host this year’s games. This sponsorship is vital to the advancement of the Sport at this level. Additionally, it further demonstrates its willingness to ensure that Cricket remains the favourite pastime of the Caribbean,” stated Springer.
In the end, team Dominica took home the victory and team Barbados took the runner up position. The following players captured individual awards for their outstanding performances:

TDC also rewarded the eight (8) Most Valuable Players (MVP) from the 11th Regional 13 and Under Competition with corporate branded backpacks filled with school/stationery supplies for use in the 2008/09 academic year. ~~Adz:Right~~
