Man shot in St. Paul's over alleged triangle love affair

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THREE men are in custody assisting police with their investigation into a shooting incident that left one man injured last night (Sept. 23) in St. Paul’s Village, as a result of an alleged triangle love affair.

     

    According to a police press release, “St. Paul's Police are investigating a shooting incident, which resulted in non-life threatening wounds to lower extremities; possibly caused by an alleged unconfirmed lover's triangle.”

     

    The release also states that the incident occurred at about 9:48 p.m. in Rawlins Housing Project and “three males are currently in police custody assisting with the investigation”.

     

    Police did not provide the name of the victim, but this media house was however informed that he is a coconut vendor, popularly known as ‘Pappi’, and operates his business in the vicinity of the St. Kitts Bottling Company Limited.

     

    Police are seeking the public’s assistance in the provision of information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator, and anyone with such information is asked to call the St. Paul’s Police Station at 465-6281 or the nearest police station.
