BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A female driver walked away from an otherwise devastating car crash earlier today (Sept. 4) on the Bay Road near Sol EC Ltd. when her jeep hit a utility pole and flipped over.

Just before noon SKNVibes arrived on the accident to find a young woman said to be the driver of a Pathfinder jeep bearing the registration number PA3346 being tended to by another female. She wore a makeshift brace and was visibly traumatised.

According to information garnered at the scene, the impact from the vehicle snapped the utility pole into two pieces.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the lady was travelling from Basseterre in the direction of Bird Rock when she lost control of the vehicle which collided with a utility pole and flipped before becoming stationary.    ~~Adz:Right~~

An individual who was working nearby told this media house that he was busy at work when he heard what he described as the sound of “an explosion then I saw sparks from the high tension wires”.  He continued that after he made investigations, he discovered that a vehicular accident had occurred.

SKNVibes spoke to one individual at the scene of the accident who said he was the one who had called ‘911’.  More than 20 minutes after, an Emergency Medical Services Unit arrived on scene and transported the woman to the Joseph N. France General Hospital.  Officers from the Traffic Department arrived shortly thereafter and began their investigations into the matter.

Unconfirmed reports state that the vehicle, which sustained extensive damage, is owned by John Harley of Cayon.
