St. Christopher Club female among three in drugs bust

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have reported that a female is among three persons charged with possession of illegal drugs over a four-day period in St. Kitts.

     

    The first of the offenders, Musa Warner of Main Street, Old Road, was on Friday (Sept. 21) found in possession of a quantity of cannabis sativa (marijuana) and is soon to appear before a city magistrate for the offence with which he was charged.

     

    Also, Debbie Kaplan of St. Christopher Club, Frigate Bay was charged with possession of cocaine, allegedly committed on Monday (Sept. 24).

     

    And Leon ‘Big Dread’ Henry of Upper College Street was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

     

    These offences were allegedly committed on the same day as Kaplan.

     

    Just 12 days ago (Sept. 15), members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Anti-Narcotics Unit had destroyed by fire over EC$11M worth of seized cocaine that was brought into the Federation aboard a yacht captained by a 56-year-old St. Lucian named Vincent Clerice.

     

    He was sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour, fined EC$1M to be paid in nine months and the vessel was forfeited to the Crown, which is to be advertised in the local media for sale at a public auction.
