Basseterre, St. Kitts – The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), in its ongoing efforts to support youth and community building initiatives, has proudly signed on as a major sponsor of Rotary Club of Liamuiga’s (RCL) first ever “Dance Xplosion – This Is Your Chance2Dance!” competition.
In a brief handing over ceremony at their corporate offices on September 21, 2012, SCASPA’s Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Manager Ms. Marva Burroughs, confirmed SCASPA as a Gold Sponsor of RCL’s Dance Xplosion.
“SCASPA is no stranger to corporate citizenship and the Rotary Club of Liamuiga is no different, especially when it comes to the youth of our nation; empowering them and finding wholesome activities for them,” said Ms. Burroughs.
“SCASPA is at the forefront of youth empowerment as can be seen with our Best in Class projects and some of the other school projects that we have undertaken. We are very interested in the youth and hence the future of our nation. Therefore, anytime the opportunity arises for us to put our best foot forward in this regard, we are there and we are glad to do it.”
President of RCL, Mr. Lester Hanley, thanked SCASPA for their generous support and pledged the Club’s commitment to a long standing future partnership in such endeavours.
Dance Xplosion – This Is Your Chance2Dance! is a dance competition for groups (2-6 members) and individuals between ages 16-30. Registration deadline is October 15th 2012 and Eliminations are October 20th, 2012 at BHS Auditorium at 4 p.m. The Finals are November 10th, 2012 at Carnival Village at 8 p.m.
