Basseterre, St. Kitts – October 2nd, 2012 - In another pioneering move, telecommunications provider LIME, today announced that St. Kitts and Nevis will achieve 4G technology before the end of this year, becoming the first to offer 4G voice and data technologies in the Federation.

In the initial phase, a number of cell sites in the commercial centers and highly populated areas in St. Kitts and Nevis will be upgraded to 4G. These sites will cover the Basseterre, Cayon and Sandy Point areas in St. Kitts and Charlestown and Gingerland areas in Nevis.

For LIME Customers, this means that people with 4G enabled devices in and around these areas will be able to access super-fast data transmission speeds. General Manager David Lake says, “We are proud to be the first to bring 4G voice and data to St. Kitts and Nevis. This move will propel our Federation into the realm of a handful of countries around the world with this technology standard.
