BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN an effort to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage early detection, the TDC Home and Building Depots in St. Kitts and Nevis have launched a Think Pink Promotional and Sales Event to run for the entire month of October.
October has been designated internationally as the month of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink has been similarly designated as the colour of the awareness movement. And the TDC Group of Companies has spared no effort in doing its part to promote a healthy lifestyle and sensitisation about the disease.
This publication understands that the Home and Building Depots’ approach to its campaign is two-pronged: one being the Think Pink promotional portion and the other being the Think Pink sales portion.
As a visual reminder to Think Pink, portions of the store have been aptly decorated in pink paraphernalia and various displays. Additionally, selected items - some of which are pink in colour - are on sale at a 20 percent discount.
The Think Pink promotion provides an opportunity for women – and men – to receive free breast examinations between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. every Saturday during the month of October at the TDC Home and Building Depot in St. Kitts.
This publication is advised that the free examinations would be conducted by Dr. Daveen Wilkin, Dr. Kathleen Allen-Ferdinand and Dr. Marisa Grant.
Additionally, 50 customers would each receive a $50 coupon which can be redeemed to defray some of the cost of a mammogram with Dr. Mark Hodge – a certified radiologist who operates out of the Sands Complex.
