BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – KNOWN for tunes such as ‘Mr. Heartless’ and ‘Raid The Barn’, international reggae artiste Anthony B is said to be recovering in a US Hospital following his collapse shortly after a recent performance.
According to reports, Anthony B, whose real name is Keith Blair, collapsed at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday after performing at a Dallas, Texas nightclub.
His publicist Ronnie Tomlinson told the media that there was no confirmation from the doctors regarding the diagnosis, but it is his belief that the artiste has been “overworked and exhausted”.
He has been hospitalised at the Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Texas since Saturday.
It is alleged that on the day of the concert, the artiste had asked his fans, via Twitter, to pray for him because he was not feeling well.
Tomlinson also said that Anthony B has a hectic touring schedule, as he has been touring several continents in recent weeks, travelling to Europe, Africa, India, Africa and Australia with limited breaks in between.
Additionally, he was also scheduled to return to Europe this week for a series of shows until mid-November, but due to his illness the first two weeks of touring may be cancelled.
Anthony B has been busy promoting his new album, Freedom Fighter, which was released earlier this year.
