BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – REGGAE singer Anthony B was recently discharged from a US hospital following his collapsed backstage after performing last Saturday (Oct. 6) at about 4: 30 a.m.
He was discharged on Wednesday week (Oct. 10) and said to be resting.
The ‘Mr. Heartless’ and ‘Raid The Barn’ artiste thanked his fans for their kind wishes.
“Thanks to all my fans who said a prayer for the I, and send a word of blessings to rest up,” Anthony B said.
Initial word from his publicist Ronnie Tomlinson was that the artiste had been “overworked and exhausted”, and it was later revealed that he was diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration.
The diagnosis was attributed to the packed performances and schedule he has had throughout the year.
He has been promoting his 'Freedom Fighter' album, which was released digitally in May 2012 and will be in stores on October 22, 2012.
“Anthony B has been on the road this year covering the globe with no break in-between. He has toured Europe, Africa, UK, India, Australia and still found time to take some spot dates in Barbados and the US,” said Tomlinson.
Reports stated that as per doctors’ orders, Anthony B needs rest and will have to reschedule his UK and Europe tour dates.
Some of these dates are three shows scheduled in the UK on October 12, October 28 and November 7, which is ‘The Red Bull Anniversary’ at the Wembley Arena.
