    Two remain hospitalized…
    Investigation into shooting continues

~~Adz:Left~~ St. Croix, USVI – TWO of the three victims injured during Sunday (Sept. 7) night’s Estate Bethlehem shooting remain housed at Luis Hospital while investigators piece together the details of the incident.

According to the VI Daily News, a sixteen-year-old male and 26-year-old Cyril Peter continue the fight for their lives; the teen having been shot in the head and Peter having received several gunshots about his body. Both were reported to be in ‘critical condition’.

The other teenage victim sustaining gunshot injury during the incident was treated for a flesh wound and discharged from the hospital a few hours his arrival.

Witness reports on what transpired at the time of the shooting vary, but it was determined that the three victims were in the presence of a small group when shots rang out.

It was not determined if Peter, who had very recently been released from jail, was the intended target. Peter was freed in August after serving approximately two months of an 18-month sentence he received after pleading guilty to shooting a man in Estate Profit in February, 2006.
