    Agent accused of shooting neighbor placed on paid leave

     

    ~~Adz:Left~~St. Thomas, USVI – AN Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agent is being investigated for the shooting death of his neighbor, was yesterday placed on paid leave pending an internal investigation.

     

    Agent William Clark, of the Rochester, New York ATF office reportedly shot to death his Mahogany Run condominium complex neighbor Marcus Sukow this past Sunday morning (Sept. 7).

     

    According to reports from the scene, Clark attempted to mediate an argument in Sukow’s apartment when he somehow got involved in the fracas and shots were fired.

     

    Sukow was reportedly shot multiple times and later died at Schneider Hospital.

     

    It was reported in the VI Daily News that Special Agent Carlos Baixauli, a spokesman in the ATF’s Miami office stated that ATF's Internal Affairs Office has launched an investigation into the agent's actions.

     

    Clark has yet to be arrested or charged for the killing. The ATF is said to be cooperating with VI police officers in the investigation.
