BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ON the eve of National Heroes’ Day (Sep. 16), TDC Group of Companies is donating a brand new vehicle to the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, in celebration of the nation’s 25th Anniversary of Independence.
In 1983, when the country attained independence, the company made a commitment to donate a vehicle to the office of the Prime Minister every five years. This year, in keeping with its corporate policy, TDC will hand over a new 2008/2009 Lexus LS460 at the company’s Home and Building Depot on the Frigate Bay Road at 4:00 p.m. today.
In 2003, the Prime Minister was presented with a luxury Toyota Crown Royal saloon by TDC.
According to TDC, the handing-over ceremony should mark “the opportunity to further extend to the Government and people of our Federation our heartfelt and sincerest congratulations on the attainment of this most important milestone of the Nation’s Silver Anniversary”.
