By: Jenise Ferlance, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A Kittitian pleaded guilty to incest today (Nov. 13) at the Nevis High Court, where he stood trial for the crime he committed on a female under the age of 16.

The man was charged with incest and unlawful carnal knowledge but pleaded guilty to the former charge.

He is originally from Stapleton Village, St. Peters but was living in Bricklin, Nevis, where the illicit act is said to have taken place.

The offence is said to have taken place sometime between 2010 and 2011 and the act was committed on his daughter.

His trial was scheduled to start today, but he changed his not guilty plea to guilty just as the case was about to begin.

The convict is expected to be sentenced on Monday (Nov. 19), following a Social Inquiry Report.
