CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - THE twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis recorded its 16th homicide for the year following last night’s shooting death of a male Craddock Road resident in Nevis.

According to reports reaching SKNVibes, Kenneth Smithen of Craddock Road was shot last night (Sep. 22) while on his way to work.

Sergeant Alonzo Carty of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force this morning told SKNVibes that the police received a report of the shooting incident at approximately 2:35 a.m. today.

Carty said Smithen was shot shortly after leaving his residence for his place of employ and was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, where he was pronounced dead sometime after.  ~~Adz:Right~~

Smithen’s death marks the third homicide committed on Nevis for the year and 16th for the Federation. The last homicide was that of 30-year-old Steve Pemberton, also known as Steam Fish, who was shot multiple times to the body in Ottley’s Village and died on arrival  at the JNF General Hospital on Saturday, August 23.
